University Primary Care Clinic at Rockton
The University Primary Care Clinic at Rockton is a comprehensive family medicine teaching facility associated with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. Our focus is on preventive medicine and care for the whole family.
The clinic is staffed with board-certified faculty physicians and a nurse practitioner with advanced academic and clinical experience that enables them to manage most illnesses independently or as part of our healthcare team. Medical students also participate in patient care.
We proudly offer university-level:
- General wellness, acute and chronic care for all ages
- Women’s health, including OB, contraceptive management, IUD placements, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, preventive and prenatal care
- Smoking cessation counseling
- Joint injections
- Toenail removal
- Minor wound care
- Mole and wart removal
- On-site lab, x-ray and EKG
- Dilated eye exams
- Vasectomies
Hours of Operation
The clinic is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Wednesday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - noon; and Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Established patients may be seen for acute care needs without an appointment from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.

The College of Medicine at Rockford enjoys solid relationships with Rockford Health System, SwedishAmerican Health System and OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Please check with the clinic to confirm that your provider is privileged at the hospital of your choice.
