MERIT Program Fund
The MERIT Fund provides unrestricted support and allows us to continue our mission on behalf of abused and neglected children in Northern Illinois.
The Goal
To better serve children in Northern Illinois who are suspected of being abused or neglected, the MERIT Program Fund was created. Government grants do not typically cover all of the costs of providing the services these children need. MERIT is committed to advocating for abused and neglected children as long as necessary to ensure their safety. Proceeds from the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford’s New Orleans Casino Night Fundraiser will benefit the MERIT Program in 2017.
The Impact
MERIT staff is able to provide multiple evaluations, treatment and advocacy services to each child. For children found to be abused or neglected, much work needs to be done to ensure their safety and well-being. The funds allow the program to examine and serve these children in addition to serving the community as a resource for prevention, research and education.
The Promise
Meeting the needs of abused and neglected children.
