Rockford - The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford is hosting the Fourth Annual Baby Goods Drive benefiting Crusader Clinic. This event collects goods for infant care packages that are distributed by physicians to mother’s on their first follow-up visit after the birth of their baby. The goal is to help provide new mothers at Crusader Clinic with basic items for infant care, while also creating an incentive to seek follow-up care for their newborn. Crusader Clinic physicians deliver 25 percent of infants born in Winnebago County.
Donations of baby goods will be accepted from March 16 until March 31, 2009. Specific items that are requested are blankets, onesies, socks, bottles, diapers, lotions, shampoo, diaper rash ointment and sleepers. Any other new baby goods are also welcome.
